Privacy
Patchbay shows people who never signed up, because a token named them. This page says what we keep about them and about users, why, for how long, and what can and cannot be deleted.

1What we store
- NAMED CREATORS
- Public profile data: handle, display name, platform and stable ID, follower count, account age, bio, and the avatar through a short-lived proxy
- HANDLE HISTORY
- Past handles of a stable ID, so a page keeps following the account
- ON-CHAIN DATA
- Events from our contracts and the venues: tokens, credits, payouts, binds, opt-outs, wallet addresses
- NOTICE CHANNELS
- The email or Telegram handle a creator chooses to leave, encrypted at rest
- REQUEST LOGS
- IP address and request path, without cookies, kept 14 days to stop abuse
2People who never signed up
We keep a record about creators who never signed up: public profile data, handle history and avatars through a short-lived proxy. You can ask us to delete anything off-chain.
We never use a creator's avatar as a token's art by default, and we never message creators on Chinese platforms.
3Why (legitimate interest)
We rely on legitimate interest: a creator can only claim money that is waiting for them if the page for their account exists and is accurate, and traders need to see who a token pays. We only use data that the account already made public, and only for that purpose. This basis is being reviewed by counsel for each region where we operate.

5What can't be deleted (on-chain keys and events)
A vault's key (the hash of platform and stable ID) and every event on BNB Chain are public and permanent. Nobody, including us, can delete them. We can stop showing them on this site.
6Deletion requests
Anyone can ask us to delete what we hold about them off-chain. A creator can also opt out, which hides their page and their tokens. We answer requests within 30 days.
7No trackers
No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics cookies. Your language choice is kept in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us.
